OPW Ignites New Chapter in Australia-India Rivalry with Wrestling Series in Ballarat

Oceania Pro Wrestling (OPW) is set to make a triumphant return to Ballarat this December, following the successful Starrcast Downunder weekend of events. OPW will host two electrifying shows at the Civic Hall, headlined by an international clash that brings a beloved sporting rivalry to the wrestling ring.

On Saturday, 21 December at 7 PM, OPW presents the India vs Australia Wrestling Series, an innovative event that translates the fierce cricket rivalry between these two nations into the world of professional wrestling. This unique showdown promises to deliver high-stakes action as top wrestlers from both countries compete for national pride. The excitement continues on Sunday, 22 December at 2 PM with Australian Showcase 2, a display of the country's best and brightest wrestling talents.

The Australian Showcase 2 event builds upon the success of OPW's first showcase during the Impact Down Under Tour in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales in 2023. This follow-up promises to give fans an up-close look at the rising stars and seasoned performers of the Australian wrestling scene, highlighting the depth of talent in the region.

OPW's return to Ballarat brings world-class wrestling to regional Australia, featuring international competition and homegrown talent. The City of Ballarat is supporting this event via its Event Development Fund. This December showcase promises to captivate both wrestling fans and sports enthusiasts. Match announcements and talent appearances will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Tickets for both events will go on sale to the general public on Friday, 23rd August. Subscribers to the OPW Newsletter will have exclusive early access to tickets starting Thursday, 22nd August at 9:00 AM. To sign up for priority ticket access, visit oceaniaprowrestling.com/newsletter.
