Michael Kingston is well known as the architect of the modern wrestling comics scene. In 2008, he released the first issue of his critically acclaimed graphic novel series Headlocked, which has since become the premier brand for wrestling comics.
Headlocked has been featured in Sports Illustrated, Forbes, WWE.com and beyond. Over the past 15 years, Kingston has collaborated with dozens of different wrestlers on stories and art for both Headlocked and its companion anthology Tales From the Road. These notable collaborators include cover artist Jerry “The King” Lawler, Mick Foley, Cody Rhodes, Lita, Adam Cole, Danhausen and Trish Stratus.
This wrestling storyteller will be bringing Headlocked Comics to pop culture convention StarrcastDownunder, taking place in Ballarat, Australia. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Kingston and see firsthand why he's considered the foremost authority on wrestling-themed graphic fiction.
